Description:
The existing asphalt parking lot had been suffering from sinkholes due to heavier truck traffic and poor subgrade, so it was necessary to remove the existing asphalt before installing new pavement.
This required the removal of existing topsoil, excavation and installation of geo-grid for structural support, then a 17” layer of stone was added and compacted to ensure a strong solid foundation. To complete the project, new asphalt was applied to create a smooth finish that could support heavy traffic. The customer was very pleased with the results; they now had an attractive and durable lot that increased the value of their property.
